Questions

Something else? Email support@sheettrack.com or read the support guide.

How much does it cost?
SheetTrack is free, with no ads.
How is it different from OneDrive version history?
OneDrive keeps earlier copies of the whole file, which you can open or restore. SheetTrack saves versions as you work and when you choose, with a note, lists the cells and formulas that changed, compares any two versions and goes back from inside Excel, keeping your current workbook as a version first. It also works for workbooks saved only on your computer. More in Version control for Excel.
What does Analyze check?
Formulas, structure, naming and data quality: hardcoded numbers, broken references, circular references, inconsistent formulas, risky lookups, volatile functions, numbers stored as text and more. Each finding links to its cell. See every check.
Which versions of Excel?
Excel on Windows and the web (Excel API 1.9 or later). On the web: current Edge, Chrome or Firefox. Excel for Mac and Safari once they have been tested. Not Excel on iPad at launch.
Will it change my workbook?
Analyze and Compare only read it. Only going back to an earlier version, or undoing a change you pick, writes to its cells, and only when you choose. Going back keeps your current workbook as a version first. A tracked workbook also keeps a small SheetTrack record, with no names or paths.
Do I need an account?
No SheetTrack account. Analyze and history kept on your computer work without signing in, for any workbook, also one in OneDrive or SharePoint. Backup to your OneDrive, history shared with your team and Team features need a Microsoft sign-in.
My organization says "Need admin approval".
An administrator can approve SheetTrack once for everyone. The page for IT administrators has the link and steps.
How tamper-proof is the audit log?
Team records are signed and chained, so edits made outside SheetTrack can be detected. They are tamper-evident, not tamper-proof.
